Activities of Daily Living

Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) are everyday activities that many people take for granted and are the basics of self care. Makin Life Easier routinely undertakes ADL or functional assessments to identify the areas of difficulty that an individual is having.

Assessing an individual’s ability/ inability to perform these tasks provides a baseline assessment of their needs and can often indicate the nature of illness or disability and the likely long term implications of this.

Depending upon the activities of daily living that an individual is having difficulty with Makin Life Easier is then able to provide recommendations for equipment or adaptations that would promote the client’s independence and enable them to perform these daily tasks to the best of their ability.

Makin Life Easier can also provide individualised treatment programmes to promote client’s independence and ensure that they are fulfilling their potential. This may be a functional rehabilitation programme or a treatment programme focusing on alternative ways of undertaking specific activities of daily living.

Whatever the nature of a client’s illness or disability and whatever daily tasks they are having difficulty with Makin Life Easier guarantees to provide a solution that is cost effective and the most beneficial to the end user.

Makin Life Easier has effective links with some of the main equipment suppliers meaning that free, no obligation to buy trials can often be arranged.
